4’s Spring Newsletter
It’s ALMOST SRING! The kids and I are very ready for outdoor play! The rain has been beautiful but….. I think we are good now!
Science: Life cycle of a flower, frogs and butterflies! It’s very exciting to learn about how things grow and what they grow from! For our sensory table we have a slimy pond to explore… a few water beads, pebbles, plastic frogs and snakes and excited kids makes for fun exploration!
Letter of the week:
Letter K brought us kites, kangaroos, kittens, Kathy and Koalas. Interesting fact- koalas are not bears…they are marsupials.
Letter Y- yo yos, yellow, yarn painting and lots of fun books about yellow and the letter Y! This week we will also discuss St. Patrick’s Day and make a fun craft to celebrate this tradition.
Letter Q: kindness Quilt (which is up and hanging on our bulletin board), Q-tip painting and Q books.
We love counting every morning and reading our calendar pattern. Letter identification/letter sounds and Pre-reading skills are an on going class discussion.
Math: patterns are still a class favorite as well as number identification along with simple addition and subtraction skills.
Your child is a JOY to teach and love. I love my job and consider myself extremely blessed to spend time with your little love bug.
